As a summary of my presentation about education in ancient civilizations: Regarding Chinese people, they are consideres economical, kind and also polite. Submission is considered the main pillar of education. For the Chinese, a great family is made up of a mother and a father and woman always has to obey man. From childhood they are brought up to obey and take care of their parents. The grandfather is usually the head of the family. Also, Tao is the moral rule. In relation to their education, teachers are competent and place great importance on knowledge and practice. RESEARCH WORK: TOPICS

We choose “Education in ancient civilizations” because we think that is an interesting theme to compare with the education nowadays. It causes us intrigue about how education worked and how much has changed. Our other option was “New School and progressive education” but we finally did not choose it because this theme is the present, so we have learn things about it and we are sure that we are going to learn more information in other subjects. Also, did not choose "The Middle Age" because we have been estudying this topic in school for a long time and we are tought that it was a good idea to talk about other themes.  We prefer not to talk about “Deschooling movement” because we support traditional education, refering going to class. Finally, we discard the issue of "Theories of emancipation".  Reyes Chollet y Andrea Catalán.
